I know what happened at Sandy Hook is a horrible tragedy , all those lost lives . Every day in the U.S . 10 womyn are killed by their husbands or boyfriends . Even if I use the F.B.I.'s statistics they say 4 womyn every day are killed . Why is it that we don't get upset about this ? Is it because children are innocent and womyn are not ? In our society we blame the victim ( womyn ) for her murder . Something is terribly wrong with this picture ! Please lets place the blame where it belongs on the patriarchal violent society we live in . Womyn and children are collateral damage for the male privileged world that we live in . Until that changes we can keep expecting more of the same in the future . Think about it and then let's do something . Innocent lives are counting on it .

Hello Ms. Hulse,

I just thought I would send you a message regarding your seemingly
immoral values, and outline a few issues I have relating to your use
of hatred under the false pretense of "educating" equality.

First, as a career person in the entertainment industry, I find your
description of yourself as a "performance artist" insulting to the
true performance artists out there.

Second, I find it ironic that in your demo video for the ONLY
production you've done advocating against violence, you use the
(awesome) song of a woman who MURDERED her husband (who was far more
successful in the same industry as her) due to a failing marriage and
for the purpose of utilizing his (superior) intellectual property.

Third, I find it rather disgusting that in your "educational"
production, you imply that domestic violence solely entails a man
being violent against a woman, yet in reality there are FAR more cases
of domestic violence by women against men (physical and emotional),
yet they do not garner as much attention due to what is perceived as
socially acceptable.

Fourth, targeting your inaccurate "production" towards young
impressionable adults is rather deplorable.

Fifth, implying that normal innocent human acts which both men and
women commit are variations of "rape" which only women suffer is
absolutely ridiculous and immoral.

Sixth, your oppression against men, particularly by brainwashing young
budding men into feeling they are inferior, resulting in lifelong
depression, through deceptive alterations of what actually happens in
this world, and of history itself is deplorable and immoral.

Seventh, including a link to Valerie Solanas' psychotically genocidal
work of hate literature the S.C.U.M. Manifesto is ludicrous and only
serves to emphasize that while you function under the guise of
advocating equality, you are nothing more than a hateful extreme
feminist with an agenda.

Eighth, I just checked Merriam Webster, there is no such word as
"womyn" (p.s. since you're probably thinking at this point I'm just a
dumb male, let me spell it out for you: as you may have noticed my
grammar and spelling - unlike yours - is immaculate, which is the
result of a lifetime of reading, yes, that's right, I read - among a
very long list of other hobbies I partake in that would boggle your
extremely narrow mind - to elaborate, it was a wry joke relating to
your lack of respect for both genders).

Just to cover my "woman oppressing" proverbial ass, you do have
permission to quote me wherever you may feel the desire to do so, but
you ONLY have permission to do so on the condition that you quote this

A MALE FAN

Okay , so yesterday I received an offer of $100 for my educational performance ! I really shouldn't be surprised , because this happens a lot . I charge $1800 plus travel and one nights lodging . So you can see where I'm coming from on the INSULT scale ! I know the economy is bad , but I haven't changed my fee in over 10 yrs. I also know that MEN doing the same work that I do have no trouble getting the fee they ask for . Their fee's can range from $2500 to $5000 . Some even make more . It's the in thing today to have MEN educate on violence against WOMYN . It doesn't upset the MALE students as much as a WOMYN like me does . POOR BOYS . We MUST not upset them . I on the other hand think we need to make them RESPONSIBLE for the ABUSE and RAPE that their MALE colleagues continue to do ! Some people think I do this work as a HOBBY , or JUST TO PASS THE TIME ! Please , I tell them , this is how I make MY LIVING . They are always surprised when I say that . So , AGAINST ALL( and I mean ALL ) odds I will continue MY LIFE'S WORK until the day that I DIE !!!

Last night I attended a birthday dinner for one of my granddaughters . It was really special . I gave her a copy of " A Room of One's Own " by Virginia Woolf . I'm always so afraid to share womyn author's with them , because of my MILITANT FEMINIST beliefs . Virginia was somewhat radical for her time , but definitely a safe place to start sharing my LOVE and RESPECT for STRONG , OUTSPOKEN womyn authors . I think it's really important to EDUCATE girls and womyn to the realities they will face even in today's society , so when they feel DEPRESSED and SUPPRESSED they won't think there's something HORRIBLY wrong with them . They won't RUSH too THERAPY  and PROZAC . They will unfortunately know that society is still not a WARM and FUZZY place for WOMYN .  Three cheers for STRONG WOMYN !!!

Every day I struggle with WHO I AM , and WHO I THINK I SHOULD BE . The struggle sometimes becomes UNBEARABLE , and I search for comfort . I find most of my solace in reading Andrea Dworkin . Her writings give me HOPE and STRENGTH to keep going . I am a MILITANT FEMINIST , but society wants me to STOP that CRAZINESS and be the MOTHER and GRANDMOTHER that I'm suppose to be . Being who I am in this world is CRAZY , so they tell me . I think I feel CRAZY , because I'm not allowed to be who I TRULY am . I've been told on and off in my adult life to THROW THOSE BOOKS AWAY , that's whats making you UNHAPPY . I will NEVER do that . I'd rather DIE . Andrea Dworkin , Valerie Solanas , Mary Daly , Phyllis Chesler and Sonja Johnson just to name a few of my FAVORITE authors keep me ALIVE . If that's CRAZY then I'm truly OUT OF MY MIND , and LOVING every minute .

Before I get back to how I became a MILITANT FEMINIST , I need to SOUND - OFF about the BACKLASH ! I'm so SICK and TIRED of FALSE STATISTICS that say womyn abuse at the same rate as men . NOT true ! Please be careful and research well before you state these statistics , and as a result KILL a lot of WOMYN ! Don't you know that this is a part of the BACKLASH against FEMINISM ? MEN are loving this WAR between the SECOND and THIRD wave FEMINISTS .
This gives MALE ABUSERS another reason NOT to take RESPONSIBILITY for their BEHAVIOR . I'm so sick of THIRD WAVE feminists telling me that I'm SEXIST , because I blame MEN for the ABUSE . I do blame them !!! They have been doing it for centuries , and will GLADLY continue with the BLESSING of the THIRD WAVE . When I woke-up this morning I said to myself , as I often do : WHY DO I CONTINUE TO FIGHT THIS WAR AGAINST WOMYN ? I really don't have a CHOICE , this is what I'm on this earth to do . I will continue until I draw my last breath , as long as these LIES continue to be told . As Andrea Dworkin stated in one of her WONDERFUL books , that she would keep fighting for WOMYN no matter what the cost was to her personally . I feel exactly the same . I am a WOMYNS ADVOCATE clearly , at ANY COST !!!

I'm still on that detour , and still RANTING . What has happened to all the WOMYN that are really concerned about the VIOLENCE that is perpetrated against them ? I can't find any , can you ? I continue daily to e-mail colleges , so I can come in and REALLY educate on this violence  with no response . I target colleges especially when they've had a publicized RAPE or MURDER on campus . You would think they would want me to educate , but no , they want to keep it QUITE ! HUSH it up like it never happened . Let's face it , they don't want to lose students , or future students . I myself would want my son or daughter to go to a college that openly addresses and educates ( real education , no sugar coating ) on this EPEDEMIC of VIOLENCE against WOMYN . Don't bother checking the crime statistics on campus , because they ALL lie . If you see one sexual assault for that year , know that you need to multiply that by at least 10 to get close to the real number of assaults . In my 18 yrs. of touring with over 400 shows , only one college in Louisiana was doing a GREAT job of protecting FEMALE students . That's pretty sad , don't you think ? Silence is the biggest KILLER of WOMYN ! When will you get that through your heads ! 1 in 4 college womyn will be RAPED by the time they graduate .  10 WOMYN every day are KILLED by their abusive partners , and some of them happen on college campuses .  WAKE UP !!! If we don't LEARN from history it will repeat itself , over and over again . We haven't learned because the statistics haven't change , and in some instances they are WORSE . WOMYN wake up from your male induced COMA'S , and start SCREAMING until the violence STOPS !

I'm taking a detour from my road to MILITANT FEMINISM , and RANTING about the state of Women's Studies today . I spend every day e-mailing for work in colleges and universities in the U.S.  There has been a DANGEROUS trend in the past few years . MEN are the DIRECTORS of
more than a few Women's Studies programs . Is anyone else as FUCKING MAD as I am . Men can NOT DIRECT Women's Studies . They have a PENIS , which AUTOMATICALLY gives them POWER ! Womyn on the other hand can understand both MALE power and FEMALES lack of that POWER . They have lived  "UNDER " that power for centuries . I'd like to know what's in that DICK
that makes MEN so POWERFUL . MALE power has been literally shoved down my throat for way too many years . MEN already have power over everything else in this world , so PLEASE stop them from taking over what never has been , and never will be theirs ; POWER OVER WOMYN ! They will NEVER stop taking it if we keep letting them .  Let's do MORE than TAKE BACK THE NIGHT , and TAKE BACK OUR LIVES !!!

Freedom for Womyn comes at a cost . A year or so before my divorce I got sober ! The only way I could have stayed in that marriage was to be DRUNK most , if not all of the time .  Right after I got sober I remember looking at my husband and saying ; WHO ARE YOU ? He replied ; WHO ARE YOU ? Your not the GIRL I married ! I said , THANK GOD FOR THAT ! Some of the people closest to me that hated him when I was married ,  when I got divorced I suddenly became the BAD ONE . My own mother who encouraged me to get rid of him , suddenly changed her mind when I did . So , there I was divorced with 3 children  . Because I was attractive my so-called female friends , especially if they were married , wanted nothing to do with me . I was a THREAT ! Please , I just got rid of one JERK , why would I want yours ? The men I knew thought I was EASY and HOT TO TROT . They would show up on my door step , one after the other with flowers and candy , not because they were concerned and wanted to be my friend , they just wanted to GET IN MY PANTS !!! FINALLY , after months of PUSHING them AWAY , they finally got the message  that I wasn't PLAYING their GAME .  Then they turned around and called me a BITCH , because I wouldn't FUCK them . That's some of the WARM and FUZZY things that happen when a WOMYN gets DIVORCED .

How did I get started on the JOURNEY to become who I am today . It began several years ago when I was searching for my place within my marriage . My husband at the time , who didn't think I read enough , gave me the book entitled " The Feminine Mystique " . It was published in 1962 . If you haven't read it , you need to now , because we as a society are back in the late 50's and early 60's in regards to the role of WOMYN  . This book was the BEGINNING OF THE END for my husband , and the BEGINNING OF A NEW LIFE FOR ME . All the years before this book I thought there was something WRONG with me , because I couldn't ADJUST to MARRIED life .  I was DEPRESSED and uncomfortable . I just wasn't FUNCTIONING like a GOOD wife should . My husband told me how to dress ,and picked out ALL my clothes . He chose EVERYTHING , right down to the perfume I wore . He corrected my english , and even corrected the letters I wrote with a RED pen . He would often say to me ; " YOU'RE NOT STUPID , YOU'RE UNDEREDUCATED " !!! Needless to say after reading that WONDERFUL , EYE OPENING book , HE was HISTORY , and I WAS FREE !

Now that I'm finished commenting on the Womynkind Principles that I live by , I want to share my life on the road touring with my shows . I've have been touring for 18 yrs. and it has been WONDERFUL and HORRIBLE , and everywhere in between . People say that it must be EXCITING and so REWARDING to tour and do the work that you do . I just smile , and think if they only really knew what it was really like most of the time they wouldn't say that . Don't they know I'm the ENEMY ? I'm the ONE who gets up on the stage , and tells the TRUTH about VIOLENCE against WOMYN , uncensored , no sugar coating here . I hope by reading my daily posts you will think differently about this issue , and what it takes for a WOMYN TO SPEAK THE TRUTH .

# 7 . VIOLENCE takes many forms , and has many reasons for existence . The same factors that contribute to the high murder rate in the inner city ARE NOT the same factors that allow MEN to pathologically torture , maim and kill Womyn . The only common denominator contained in the issues of violence , war or abuse is that it is an act of power and control ( overwhelmingly ) engaged in by MEN . The only thing abused Womyn have in common is their gender . Womynkind does not advocate random violence , however it does recognize the difference between MURDER and SELF - DEFENCE . Womynkind reserves the right , and encourages womyn to defend their lives by what ever means necessary . Womynkind also recognizes that the best defence my be a strong offence . We exclusively blame MEN for the introduction of violence into this issue  , and thus demand that they take the responsibility to STOP THE VIOLENCE ( before it stops you ) .

My Comment ;  We've been told thru the media that the murder rate in the U.S. has declined in the past few years , but that's only partially true . The murder rate for DOMESTIC VIOLENCE has remained the same , or increased in some areas  . Murders of people other then intimate partners has decreased . BELIEVE IT . ITS the TRUTH ! Why , you may ask have DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MURDERS statistics not improved ? The answer is simple ; MEN don't want it to STOP . If they did , and really took action , it would be a thing of the past . ALL men benefit from all forms of VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMYN .  YES , they benefit from keeping WOMYN in line . We will continue to have violence against womyn in all its UGLY forms , if we naievely think MEN will stop on their own . If that were the case , it would have ceased by now . We have allowed MEN for the past 20 yrs. to TAKE OVER the WOMYNS MOVEMENT .  So , has the violence STOPPED , or at least decreased ? NO ! It's getting WORSE .   I believe we need to TAKE BACK the WOMYNS movement by whatever means  necessary ( emphases on WHATEVER ) , and use REAL solutions to stop MEN from BEATING , RAPING and MURDERING WOMYN .

# 6 . TRUE EQUALITY is Womynkind's ultimate goal . As it is not dignified for a man to beat dumb animals , Womynkind in that spirit does not wish to dominate men . True equality however is as far away as the distance between truth and lies . Womynkind sees it simplistic to call the goal of " equal
pay for equal work " valuable , when that work is degrading , exploitative  , or damages the environment . Violence against Womyn continues to be a gender issue . MEN beat WOMYN , and until MEN stop it , peace between us cannot exist . The role of men in Womynkind is to actively STOP thier brothers in " womyn slaughter " . Men do not however , have an equal say in deciding or granting Womyn their " rights " ( rights are not theirs to grant ) , or in setting the agenda by which womyn act to defend their rights .

My Comment ; The TRUTH is MEN have the POWER to BEAT , RAPE , and KILL womyn without REAL consequences . He will either get a SLAP on the wrist for BEATING her , a minimal , if any jail time for RAPE , and average of 5-7 yr. sentence for KILLING her . On the other hand , if a womyn KILLS her ABUSER she receives an average sentence of 20 yrs. to LIFE . The LIE being that MEN really care about womyn's welfare . That's one reason why there are 1,600 BATTERED womyn's shelters , compared to 4,000 Animal shelters . Where are MEN'S priorities ?  If  a MAN beats a WOMYN she should KILL HIM ! It wouldn't take very many KILLS to CHANGE MEN'S
minds ( smaller case minds on purpose ) .  Then MEN might LISTEN a little better to what WOMYN have to say .  In my college philosophy class , where I did my first performance on violence against womyn , I asked one of the guys this question ; If I asked you to share your power with me would you ? Of course not , he replied . If I held a gun to your head and said , Give me some of your power , would you ? YES , he said , of course I would !  Think about it WOMYN , and then DO SOMETHING !

Principle # 9 . continued ,

# 5 . FAMILY VALUES - The destruction of the traditional family is a GOOD thing . The current propaganda that tries to place the responsibility for an immoral society on Feminists ideas is a LIE . In its relationship to Womyn , society has never been moral . The " nuclear family " blew up on it's own accord . The suffering that womyn and children are experiencing in modern society is the result of MANS ever increasingly cruel and desperate attempt to re-enslave their " property " , which revolted after centuries of inhumane treatment . Alternative relationships and "families " should be encouraged at every opportunity . Traditional ideas of marriage and gender roles should be discouraged , ridiculed and undermined . Although Womyn should be encouraged to make their own " choices " , this does not imply that ALL choices Womyn make within the MALE system help to promote the cause of freedom for all womyn .

My Comment ; The only thing that Feminists are guilty of in regards to marriage is giving womyn a
CHOICE . GOD FORBID that womyn have REAL choices . But let me tell you that if you don't choose MARRIAGE and MOTHERHOOD you are in for a bumpy ride . Still today , maybe even more so , no matter what you accomplish in your life , if you're not a wife and mother YOU ARE next to NOTHING .  They still today use such terms for " unmarried " womyn as SPINSTER , OLD MAID , UNDESIRABLE , and " NOT GOOD MARRIAGE MATERIAL " . If you CHOOSE to live with someone , instead of getting married , you are SHACKING - UP . If you have children  without marriage , you are an UN - WED mother and a SLUT ! Your child is called ILLEGITIMATE , and a BASTARD ! Tell me it's not a MANS world . If it wasn't , no WOMYN would stand for this kind of treatment . I've tried BOTH , marriage and living with my partner . I definitely prefer the latter . That piece of paper CHANGES everything . When you sign that certificate you hand over your POWER . I now have grandchildren . In a conversation with my FIRST granddaughter about MEN and MARRIAGE I said , men have ONE brain cell and they all SHARE it , and when you are older I'll tell you where it is , and that marriage is for MEN . AAH!!! WISDOM ! PASS IT ON !

# 4 . THE SYSTEM , the church , and all other " institutions " who have a history of abuse and repression of Womyn will not be supported . Although some minor changes MIGHT be made through the present political / justice system , ultimately it is impossible for long term gains to be made within a corrupt system . Placing Womyn in this SICK system has proven to only corrupt them and the cause .

My Comment ;  Let's FACE IT , the system and all it's many components are CONTROLLED by a small percentage of RICH WHITE MEN , that have NO interest in Granting womyn true EQUALITY . Every once and awhile they pretend to accept a few womyn into their inner circle , and then proceed to DESTROY them . Think of Hilary Clinton , and Sarah Palin . Hilary was DEMONIZED , while Sarah was SEXUALIZED . Neither one of them had a REAL chance at the office of VP ,  when the SYSTEM ( male ) was done with them . If  MEN  truly wanted WOMYN to be EQUAL in every way , the present SYSTEM would need to be TOTALLY DESTROYED . Torn down and rebuilt by WOMYN . A few of my WISHES for a NEW system would be ; NO MORE TIT BARS ,  PORN ,  PROSTITUTION , HUMAN TRAFFICKING , RAPE or any other ABUSE of WOMYN ! Womyn would get paid their WORTH in every job they chose . They would get PAID for BEING a WIFE ( extra pay ) , and MOTHER (extra , extra pay )   . MEN would actually HAVE to do an EQUAL amount of WORK in the HOME , without COMPLAINING .   PERPETRATOR'S , PIMPS , JOHN'S and PORNOGRAPHERS would be HELD accountable for their CRIMES and NOT the VICTIMS ! This is MY fantasy , but it REALLY could be REALITY if WOMYN ( okay , together with a  few GOOD men , MAYBE ) RULED THE WORLD ! Think about it .

# 3 . ABORTION - is a Womyn's right ! Not only is this an inalienable right , it is an issue that men have NO say in . Womynkind will protect this right at all costs and view those with " alternative " points of view as ignorant , fanatical , and dangerous . Womynkind will suppress and counter anti-abortion propaganda when ever it meets it , and promote , in turn , modern self - abortion techniques that strip away the remaining power that an exploitative MALE dominated medical profession still holds over womyn's lives .

My Comment ; I REFUSE to discuss in any detail a WOMYN'S RIGHT to abortion . This is 2012 and we're going to LOSE that right . We already are , no matter who gets elected ! My only suggestion is to TRAIN WOMYN to give FREE , SAFE abortions . And to the MEN ; " KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY GLANDS " !!!

 # 2 . WHY DOESN'T SHE LEAVE ? - Womynkind will ONLY ask , WHY DOES HE BATTER  ? Womynkind will however continue to address how society FORCES womyn to stay in abusive relationships and will seek REAL solutions to make the escape from this culturally supported enslavement possible .

My Comment ; It took me a long time today to write my response to this principle , because I am so SICK and TIRED of hearing this question . SHE must have all the help she needs , so why doesn't she leave ? . 85 % of all ABUSED womyn who are KILLED are killed AFTER they leave the relationship ? WHY ? Because the POLICE and the COURTS don't protect them . WHY ? Because they are MAINLY made up of MEN who FOLLOW the majority of MALE thinking  and still THINK it's a PRIVATE family matter , and SHE must have DONE something to make him BEAT her . They get a SLAP on the wrist and sent BACK HOME where they can continue BEATING her ,
and most likely KILL her . 10 WOMYN every day are KILLED in the U.S. BY MEN who supposedly LOVE them . You may ask , WHY DOESN'T SHE GET A RESTRAINING ORDER ? Every battered womyn that I've spoken to has told me that it's a USELESS piece of paper , that offers NO PROTECTION . In the order HE has to STAY just 500 ft. away ! Do you know how CLOSE that is to the VICTIM , and she CAN'T call for help until he steps over that line !  When and IF he is arrested , he has a CHOICE . He can go to JAIL , or go to BATTERERS GROUP . Which one do you think he chooses ? A story that was told to me , while on tour , has STUCK with me because it is still TRUE today . The host that brought me in to perform told me that her and her husband had run a BATTERERS GROUP , and at the end of the course they GRADUATE with certificates of completion . One of the MEN who graduated took his certificate HOME , KILLED his WIFE , and placed the certificate on her BODY ! Need I say more ? So PLEASE stop asking , WHY DOESN'T SHE LEAVE ? And put the FOCUS on where it BELONGS , on HIM !!!

Principle # 9 . In context with the above , particularly in an effort to fight this propaganda , WOMYNKIND will NOT entertain or allow through the mediums of communication under it's control , debate about the validity of what it knows as TRUTHS .

This includes the following examples ;

1 . MALE RESPONSIBILITY - Womynkind will NOT argue whether or not womyn are responsible for the violence perpetrated against them . WOMYN HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ABUSE . They do not ask for it , like it , or cause it . MEN  BATTER AND RAPE BECAUSE WE ALLOW THEM TO !!!!!

My Comment ; How do WE ALLOW MEN TO BATTER AND RAPE womyn ? First of all , it's a MANS WORLD . A few RICH WHITE MEN control the making of laws and how they are ENFORCED . Those few white men also CONTROL all the MEDIA outlets . WOMYN are SECOND CLASS citizens in every area of their lives . So it's not much of a surprise to see how we BLAME THE VICTIM . If a womyn is battered we ask  WHAT DID SHE DO TO PROVOKE HIM ? she did NOTHING ! I've always asked if he's mad at his boss , or pissed off at someone else ,
WHY DOES'NT HE BEAT THEM ? Simple , because he would be arrested . Instead he brings it home and BEATS HER , because he most LIKELY will NOT be ARRESTED , and HE KNOWS THAT . She is an acceptable TARGET . If she calls the COPS she's even in MORE TROUBLE .
20% of the COPS are ABUSERS . Maybe she'll get ONE OF THEM . ALSO , even with the new  law in place , that says if any signs of ABUSE are visible , you must ARREST . It's not happening .
More likely what happens is a  walk around the block to COOL down , or if he is arrested SHE runs the RISK of WORSE abuse , or even DEATH . The COURTS ( remember , it's a MANS world ) set his bail so LOW  he gets out of jail, or she pays the bail for FEAR of HER LIFE . When a WOMYN is RAPED we say in some way , SHE must have ASKED FOR IT , not WHY DOES HE RAPE ? As in battering , when a WOMYN is RAPED we BLAME the VICTIM ? Why do you think that only 15% of RAPES are ever reported , and ONLY 5% of RAPIST go to JAIL ? It's NOT because it's SAFE and EASY for a WOMYN to come FORWARD ,unfortunately it's the OPPOSITE . Please ALL you WOMYN out there RISE UP and REFUSE to be the TARGET of any MAN'S RAGE .

Principle # 8 . That the ABUSE of womyn is far more than just PHYSICAL VIOLENCE . That it encompasses all aspects of how womyn are treated in society as a whole . That EMOTIONAL ABUSE , SEXUAL ABUSE, FINANCIAL ABUSE and other forms and techniques of MALE DOMINATION contribute to the problem , and thus ALL issues commonly considered " womyns issues " are interrelated and will be addressed from a MILITANT perspective . That society , NOT out of ignorance , but out of PURPOSE has engaged in a long standing PROPAGANDA WAR to repress the TRUTH about violence against Womyn . That those Womyn who do ( and have ) spoken out against this abuse , have been themselves subject to backlash by the system , which attempts to discredit their efforts through censure , lies , and the same violence they themselves attempt to stop . That these Womyn , both past and present MUST and WILL have a voice .

My Comment ; I'm having a lot of trouble commenting on this , because I am one of those WOMYN that TELLS THE TRUTH about this violence , and in doing so ,  have been  subject to HORRENDOUS BACKLASH . I'm still LICKING my WOUNDS from the last ATTACK . Every time I  finish a tour , I ask myself the SAME QUESTION ; WHY DO I CONTINUE TO DO THE WORK THAT I DO when the BACKLASH is so VIOLENT ? The answer is always the SAME ; I have to continue to BREAK the SILENCE and to STOP this VIOLENCE for womyn who have no voice . I don't have a CHOICE . This is what I was put on this earth to do , AT ANY COST ! A big change that has happened in the past 10 yrs. is that people will bring me in to educate , but under two conditions ; DON"T TELL THE TRUTH , AND DON"T UPSET THE GUYS IN THE AUDIENCE .
Oh well , MADONNA said ONE GOOD THING ; The ultimate DARE is to tell the TRUTH , and I
do and always will . As far as upsetting GUYS , I hope I do ! As a result , the pressure to STOP has been UNBEARABLE at times . I know that I'm doing the right thing when WOMYN still come up to me after a show and say ; YOUR SO COURAGEOUS ,AREN'T YOU AFRAID TO DO WHAT YOU DO ? That's what keeps me going . Also one of my FAVORITE AUTHORS , Sonja Johnson said , " IF YOU"RE PISSING MEN OFF YOU MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT " . And so , I will continue to TELL the TRUTH , and in the process hopefully PISS a whole lot of MEN off !

Principle # 7 . That ALL MEN ARE SCUM ! There are a few men that have a few redeemable qualities , but as a qualification they must admit that they are scum , and are willing to take responsibility and commit 150 % of their energy to destroying the existing system that abuses womyn at every turn . All men are sexist to some extent . That they are born into , and benefit from a sexist society that treats WOMYN as second class citizens . That it is NOT good enough for individual MEN to merely not hit . They must ACTIVELY stop other MEN who do ABUSE . IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION , YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM .

My Comment ; My belief that ALL MEN ARE SCUM , came from various sources ; my own personal experiences  , the experiences of other WOMYN and the writings of one of my FAVORITE
authors , Valerie Solanas . She wrote " The S.C.U.M. Manifesto ; The Society for Cutting Up Men " ,
If you haven't read it , and I doubt if you have , you can read it in it's entirety on my web-site at www.womynkind.org . What Valerie did for me in this MANIFESTO was to validate my own beliefs that MEN ARE SCUM , and their TARGETS have , and ALWAYS will be WOMYN . I didn't always have this view , but after 18 yrs. of touring with my work and experiencing this outright ABUSE first hand , I'm standing right ALONG SIDE VALERIE as what she refers to as a TRUE SCUM FEMALE .  After so much BACKLASH over the past 20 yrs. some feminists have BACK OFF , and let MEN take the DRIVERS seat in the FIGHT against the ABUSE , RAPE and KILLING of WOMYN. I regretfully even let this happen . My message became that Only Men can STOP this VIOLENCE . Big mistake ! The results speak for themselves ; College and University WOMYNS CENTERS have been taken over by men . Don't MEN get abused and raped too ! I'm so SICK of hearing this and seeing it in action ! Yes , they do , but the large , and I mean the large majority of ABUSE and RAPES victims are WOMYN , and the perpetrators are HETERO-SEXUAL MALES !
Women's Studies has become Gender Studies with MALE professors as directors . MALE SPEAKERS are know FAVORED to SPEAK on these issues , and I can't GIVE my work away .
People say the students will LISTEN to a MAN better than a WOMYN . Sad , but TRUE . Rape and Battering statistics have gotten WORSE over this time . So do I think that MEN are willing to GIVE 150 % , or what ever it takes to STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMYN ? NO !!!! Things are getting  WORSE ! But for MEN who do this WORK things have greatly IMPROVED for them in their personal and public life . They are seen as HEROES where as I'm , or feminist like me are seen as the ENEMY . Take a HARD look at the past 20 yrs. , WOMYN , and I hope you scream WTF lets TAKE BACK OUR LIVES ! 

Principle # 6 . That MEN are totally responsible for the abuse , and for violence in the world in general . They ARE the Presidents , the Kings , the Generals , the Soldiers , the KILLERS and the RAPISTS who PREY on WOMYN on a daily basis for FUN and Profit .

My comment ; Speaking of presidents , Washington D.C. has one of the highest rates of HUMAN TRAFFICKING , and a good deal of the houses , or brothel's are in the close proximity to the WHITE HOUSE . If you haven't seen the movie " Human Trafficking " , now is a great time to do so . Here we are in 2012 , and we still don't have a WOMYN PRESIDENT, or even VICE PRESIDENT . Ever since the Second Wave Feminists got laws past that improved womyn's lives , the BACKLASH has been overwhelming . Womyn have been SILENCED and pushed back into the HOME , to focus on what men say we're here for , to care for them and the children ONLY . MOTHERHOOD is equivalent to SAINTHOOD today . No matter what we accomplish in our lives ,
we are only JUDGED by how we MOTHER . We are also about to lose the right to OUR BODIES .
Access to ABORTION is on it's way out , even as I'm writing this blog . We are back in the 1950's ,
especially when it comes to WOMYN . WOMYN are also used for FUN and PROFIT . There are 4,000 strip clubs in the U.S. . It's a 3.1BILLION DOLLAR a yr. business , run by MEN for THEIR
PLEASURE . The average stripper makes $125,000 a yr. . It's very sad that MEN only PAY womyn what THEIR WORTH in the STRIPPING and PROSTITUTION business . As for PORNOGRAPHY , 89% of it is made in the U.S . . It's a 13 to 15 billion dollar a year Industry , RUN
by MEN , at the expense of WOMYN . The majority of PORN that's downloaded is done by MALES on a COLLEGE campus . There are several ways to SILENCE womyn . these are some of the WORST . WOMYN in this country need to take heed and UNITE to FIGHT this obvious WAR against WOMYN !

Principle # 5 . That WOMYNKIND views the abuse and killing of womyn , NOT as a sickness of an individual minority , but as a purposeful attempt by a MALE dominated system to maintain power and control over a majority of the worlds population , and that the distribution of power , wealth and domination by men supports this theory .

My comment ; Watch or listen to the news , and you would think that the abuse and killing of womyn happens just once and a while . God forbid if we tell the truth ! People might actually find out that we have a problem of epidemic proportion . Who holds the reigns of the media , and has all the power to dictate the content of the news ? The answer is of course a few RICH WHITE MEN . Still in 2012 the media poses questions like ; What did she do to provoke him , or set him off ? ,  What was his motive ? Always placing the blame for these horrendous acts on the victim ! The victim has NO responsibility for the abuse she receives . He beats and murders her because he can . Society ( male dominated ) gives him that control . The truth is that 10 womyn every day are KILLEDin the U.S. by men who supposedly LOVE them , and every 9 seconds a womyn is BEATEN by the same type of  MONSTER ! The next time you hear or see a news report on the abuse and / or killing of a womyn , please take the above FACTS into consideration , and then do something heroic , like DEMAND the TRUTH . 

Principle # 4 . That Womynkind has been established to find REAL solutions to stop this violence , and is focused on the problems of WOMYN ONLY , and will not be distracted by discussions concerned with other forms of violence or injustice against MEN , or society as a whole ( see # 1 ) . 

My comment ; In my early days of touring I thought that MEN could be a huge part of stopping violence against womyn . Over the years I have come to the conclusion that MEN stopping violence is a FANTASY .  You are welcome to believe that MEN can stop violence against womyn , but I'm moving on to REAL SOLUTIONS , as follows ;

 1. As a society we need to admit that we have an epidemic of RAPE and DOMESTIC violence , and we need to clean up our own violence , before we reach out to help others , and admit that what we're doing now IS NOT WORKING .

 2. Take an honest look at SEXISM , and realize that SEXISM is the ROOT CAUSE of all violence against womyn .

 3. Redefine what constitutes a family . TRADITIONAL ROLES where there is one dominant and one submissive BREEDS ABUSE .

 4. EDUCATION , EDUCATION , and MORE EDUCATION by FEMINISTS like ME !

 5. STOP asking WHY DOESN'T SHE LEAVE ? , and only ask WHY DOES HE BATTER and RAPE ? Take the focus completely off the victim and place it where it belongs , on the perpetrator .

 6. Mandatory , free QUALITY DAYCARE at every business , school , college and other institutions , so womyn can afford to leave and support themselves and their children ,

 7. FREE STANDING SHELTERS with NO government support . They will be run and supported by the womyn . As of now if you receive federal money you have to admit men into the shelter . This
makes a very threatening environment for women and children who have been abused by there husband or father .

 8. WOMYN need to UNITE and BREAK THE SILENCE of this violence in their personal and professional lives . NO MORE SECRETS !

 9. Take the ABUSER out of the house , and put him in a shelter , and let his wife and children stay in their home . They have already been traumatized ENOUGH .

10. Make the ABUSER and RAPIST responsible for their behavior with higher bails and REAL PRISION TIME . No more slap on the wrist , or BOY'S WILL BE BOY'S mentality !
 
      Of all the above solutions my favorite one , and the one that would have the quickest result is ;

ALL WOMYN should STOP doing everything ; STOP taking care of men , STOP taking care of children , Stop having sex , Stop going to work , STOP going to church , STOP voting , STOP everything . If womyn did this , it would'nt take long to get men's attention that THINGS HAVE TO CHANGE . It would PARALYZE the world . THINK about it , but then DO IT !!!!!!!!

Principle # 3 . That under NO circumstances is it a womyn's FAULT or RESPONSIBILITY for this abuse . The Only obligation that womyn have is to UNITE to FIGHT against this ABUSE .

My comment ; I am so sick and tired of blaming the victim ! She does not want it , like it , or ask for it . Get that thru your thick heads ! The poor man , she must have done something to set him off . Abusers don't have , or need a motive . They beat womyn because they can . There are no consequences . Society blames the womyn . I always wondered why we put her , and the children in a shelter , and let him stay at home , like nothing happened . Who's getting punished here ? Not him .
I always thought that they should put him in the shelter  ( after putting his name in the news ) , and let her remain home with the kids . Makes good sense to me . If he needs to work to support the family , then put an ankle bracelet on him to monitor his movements , and protect his wife , and let him continue to work . Over the past 20yrs. men have successfully convinced women not to stick together , and not support other women , especially feminists like me .  Womyn's centers are closing down in colleges and elsewhere , or they have become Wo/men's Centers ! Get it ? PLEASE ! Womyn's Studies have become Gender Studies , with male professor's as director's . What's wrong with this picture . Womyn , please wake up and unite to stop this ridiculous takeover . Let's get back to telling the truth about violence from the only voices I want to hear , WOMYN's ! 

Principle # 2 . That the present efforts to stop this violence are NOT working . The problem is getting worse .

My comment ; We need to get back to what I call Pure Feminism , just womyn , no men . Over the past 10 yrs. men have slowly taken over the womyn's movement . This has been greatly encouraged and accepted by the so-called Third Wave Feminists . The let's not hurt or exclude anyone ( especially men ) from our movement . BIG MISTAKE ! Did men really take over the womyn's movement to help womyn ? Not on your life ! They want the same old thing they've always wanted ,
POWER and CONTROL , and right now they have it . Sound familiar ? It should . It's the reason men continue to ABUSE , RAPE and KILL womyn . Twenty years ago when I started touring with my work , a womyn was battered every 15 seconds and raped every 3 minutes . Today a womyn is battered every 9 seconds and raped every minute . Does that sound like improvement to you ? A quote from Marilyn French's book " The War Against Women " sums it up for me ;

" If one ethnic or national group were attacking another , killing and maiming them at the same rate as men attack and kill women ( and she's speaking only of attacks by intimates ) , the situation would be held to constitute a state of emergency , or even war . "

The Womynkind Principles

These are the principles that I live by . Each day I will post one principle , and elaborate on the meaning in my life . There are 9 principles , so get ready !

# 1 . That violence against womyn is the MOST serious problem facing society today , and that other issues of prejudice or abuse can NOT be resolved until we solve this problem . It is dogma that we view the abuse of womyn as a world-wide epidemic that cuts across ALL boundaries of culture , class , religions and race .

My Comment ; Violence against womyn is really not on many peoples radar today . I wonder if it has stopped ! Was I sleeping ? Did I miss the end of this violence ? I know it's not gone , and it's getting worse instead of better . Try and tell people that , and you suddenly have three heads , and don't know what you're talking about . The backlash is devastating . When I first stared touring with my educational work about this violence , the O.J. Simpson trial put the spotlight on this issue . Now , today no one wants to hear about it . I can't give my work away ! Do you realize that we're back in the 1950's in our thinking about womyn ? We're about to lose what we gained from the 2nd wave feminists ; ABORTION RIGHTS !!!!! We still only make 77 cents on the dollar to men ! Where is N.O.W and every womyn who cares about these issues ! It's silent , and we know from the past that Silence is the biggest KILLER of womyn . Until womyn are EQUAL to men , in EVERY WAY ,
violence will never stop .  We will never stop the abuse of anyone , until we stop abusing WOMYN .
Are there any womyn out there who care enough about our future to start screaming as loud as you can , and BREAK THE SILENCE that continues to KILL 10 womyn every day in the U. S. alone !
WAKE UP , there's a WAR ON WOMYN ,  and it's worth FIGHTING .
